The Anderstorp circuit, built in 1968, is very famous – with the Scandinavian Raceway’s 4.018-km long straight even used as an aircraft runway. Formula 1 held its races at the Swedish circuit from 1973 to 1978, and the Motorcycle World Championship was staged there from 1971 to 1977, then again from 1981 through to 1990. Grand Prix legends, including Giacomo Agostini, Barry Sheene, Freddie Spencer, Eddie Lawson and Wayne Rainey, have all won the Swedish Grand Prix at the Raceway in the past. After extensive modernisation work, and in conjunction with the Swedish Motorsport Association, Anderstorp is now ready to welcome the ADAC Northern Europe Cup riders in 2018. The ADAC NEC will be staged there in mid-May together with the Swedish Moto3 Championship.
